Everyone has the right to water. It is something we take for granted everyday. However the people of Lobitos and Piedritas cannot afford to take it for granted. With access to water only 2-3 days of the week, it is a constant struggle for the residents. We need water to survive and to go without it is unimaginable. Our idea helps every individual family in Lobitos and Piedritas when they need it most. Using the solar distillation process, we have designed a solar still that can produce up to 5.4 litres of pure water per day. We want to help the residents improve their lives.
