It is an undeniable fact that nutrition is one of the basic elements of survival. Though the agriculture sector of Peru is significant, it only occurs at a small scale in a bio-orchard in Piedritas. Despite this, most of the local food in Piedritas is bought by traveling to the nearby town of Talara. With the rising food prices around the world and unreliable transport, it is crucial for Piedritas to be self-dependent. Our solution involves the use of Hydrogen Sulphide in an irrigation system to accelerate the growth of plants. The system is powered by solar energy and utilizes subsurface drip irrigation for efficient water usage. The design will considerably increase crop yield, while also being mindful of the scarcity of water in Piedritas, providing the community with a more reliable and nutritious source of food, while also opening up trading opportunities with other areas.
