Team members @BHAVIN MEGGI and Katuntu Tarique At ECO-REPAIR we decided to tackle the issue of energy and extreme temperature. We are all familiar with how uncomfortable summer weather can be, especially when we do not have access to air conditioners and even so, they tend to take up quite their fair share of your monthly energy bills. So that brings about the question, how can we help mitigate the effects of living in a relatively hot environment without making our wallets want to hang themselves? Introducing Eco-repair, an evironmentally friendly and affordable alternative to cooling. The Eco-Repair consists of 2 elements, the Eco-Renewall (2nd image) and the Vent 360 (Last image) and their integration into new homes is represented in 4th image. This project was inspired by the work of Asish Paul who invented the eco-cooler that works with the concept of the Joule Thompson effect. As hot air enters from the larger end or side of the bottle in the wall, it is compressed increasing the pressure of the air as it comes out on the smaller end facing the interior of the room producing a cooling effect. Though the Eco-Renewall is mainly designed for existing buildings, the Vent 360 is designed to also be installed in existing houses. Over time this will cut energy expenditures and enable the people to save over 20 usd a year. Below is a short report further explaining the the details of the design and a slightly (not really slightly) longer one for those that like to read a little more than others. At Eco-Repair our motto is Comfort regardless. Regardless of who you are, where you come from or where you are in society, we are all the same. We live on the same planet and we really don't like hot weather or maybe that's just me. Thank you for reading through and hopefully after reading all the other reports as well, you'll be inspired to make something that can impact change as well. If you found this interesting, a like would me much appreciated. Have a great day.
